Madagascar
USAID invited BASICS to begin working in Madagascar in 2005 to support the introduction of zinc for management of diarrhea. These efforts provided an entry point for improving the integrated community case management of pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. Nutrition activities were added in 2007, and newborn health and malaria activities began in 2008.
