WHO HIV and Infant Feeding Technical Consultation: Consensus Statement.
This consensus statement summarizes updated principles that will guide the efforts of BASICS and other child survival stakeholders in the area of HIV and infant feeding. The statement is the result of a meeting of researchers, program implementers, infant feeding experts, representatives of the Inter-Agency Task Team (IATT), UN agencies, the WHO Regional Office for Africa and six WHO headquarters departments who met in October 2006 to review the substantial body of new evidence and experience regarding HIV and infant feeding.
