USAID/BASICS Publishes Article on Integrating PMTCT and MNH Services
May 29—Click here to read the USAID/BASICS-authored article, “Integrating Quality Postnatal Care into PMTCT in Swaziland,” which appears in the latest edition of the journal Global Public Health (Special Issue, Volume 4, Number 3, May 2009). This article details operational research that showed integrating PMTCT programs and Maternal and Newborn Health postnatal services is feasible and acceptable, and can result in promoting early postnatal visits and improved care of both HIV-positive and HIV-negative mothers and their babies.
