USAID/BASICS hosted Community Case Management: Improving the Health of the Most Vulnerable Children on Wednesday, March 11 at the Washington, D.C. offices of AED.

Community Case Management: Improving the Health of the Most Vulnerable Children was led by Emmanuel Wansi, USAID/BASICS Senior Technical Officer, and also featured Eric Swedberg of Save the Children.

The session covered the history of USAID/BASICS' involvement in community case management (CCM) of childhood illnesses— with an emphasis on

  • when and how to address policy issues
  • leveraging resources for CCM
  • collaborating in a multi-partner environment
  • adapting tools for country-specific needs
  • a review of key results from CCM interventions under USAID/BASICS.
